30 Years of Expertise
A Key Player in Sustainable Development in Quebec, Laurentide Environment ensures the transportation and responsible handling of post-consumer paint surpluses across Quebec and the eastern provinces of Canada.
Our company also collects and sorts batteries, vapes, compact fluorescent lamps, used oils, and other household hazardous waste across Quebec, redirecting them to processing centers for eco-responsible disposal.
The collection of these materials is made possible through the TRANSBAC program, a recycling bin logistics service created and managed by Laurentide Environment to transport materials to drop-off sites.
On average, each year we sort:
Approximately 1 million kg of oils, antifreeze, plastic containers, and filters from individual and residential sources, thanks to a partnership with SOGHU;
Over 2 million kg of batteries, thanks to a partnership with Appel à recycler;
Over 6 million kg of paint, thanks to a partnership with Éco-Peinture;
Over 500,000 lamps, thanks to a partnership with RecycFluo;
A number of vapes to be determined, as the program was launched in January 2025 by Appel à recycler.
As part of a circular economy effort, all these harmful products are diverted from landfills to give them a second life whenever possible.
