Call to Recycle launched “Recycle Your Vapes” in January 2025, a new vape collection and recycling program in Quebec, unique in Canada and worldwide. Laurentide Environment participates as a sorting and recycling partner.

The program ensures that these devices, many of which contain increasingly complex batteries, are collected and recycled responsibly. Once the batteries and other components, such as pods and cartridges, are collected at drop-off points, they are sent to Laurentide Environment’s Battery Processing and Recovery Center in Shawinigan, Quebec, where they are sorted and responsibly disposed of, while recoverable materials are salvaged.
