Société Laurentide is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Richard Tremblay as Executive Vice-President.
Mr. André Buisson, President and CEO of Société Laurentide, is very proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Tremblay. As part of his new duties, Mr. Tremblay will take up the challenge of launching the new line of Laurentide PaintTM by focusing on a technological breakthrough, as well as on new approaches and strategies, which will allow Société Laurentide to enhance its presence on the Canadian and international markets. “Such an innovation deserves to be spearheaded by a highly respected leader in the paint industry, which is why we have called upon Richard!”
A graduate of Université Laval in Operations Management, Mr. Tremblay began his career at Ciment St-Laurent and Drolet Sani-Forme (Alsco). Thereafter, Mr. Tremblay joined Benjamin Moore in 1986 where he held various positions that led him to the role of General Manager and later to Vice-President of Canadian and International Markets. “It is with great enthusiasm and pride that I join Société Laurentide’s excellent team. Today, I have the opportunity to bring my experience and passion to a major Quebec manufacturer that has been serving our communities for more than 70 years.”, explains Mr. Tremblay.
Mr. Tremblay has proven countless times his strategic vision and his talent for identifying the most promising business challenges. A renowned leader and innovative visionary, Mr. Tremblay has played a key role in the development of the banner strategy and a series of programs for Canada’s independent retailers. “In addition to sharing our corporate values, Richard has all the required skills and expertise to fast-track the achievement of our short and medium-term objectives.”
Besides his professional activities, Mr. Tremblay has served on various boards of directors: President of Éco-Peinture, President of CPCA (Canadian Paint and Coatings Association), member of the Board of Directors of Product Care, in addition to being in charge of the Finance Committee.

- Laurentide Re/sources ensures the logistics management and the proper handling of post-consumer paint surpluses throughout Quebec and the eastern provinces of Canada. This division also collects and sorts batteries, compact fluorescent light bulbs, used oils and other hazardous household waste to redirect them to processing centres for environmentally friendly disposal.
