The Boomerang Paint Energy Bike Trek took place on June 8th. Here is the press release issued by the SSS de l’Énergie Foundation after the event.
The SSS de l’Énergie Foundation was proud to announce the amount raised on Saturday, June 8th, during the 6th edition of the Boomerang Bike Trek, as well as the first Desjardins Family Edition. Thanks to all the participants, volunteers and collaborators of the event; the Foundation was able to raise the overall amount of $ 83 577.
This philanthropic day is allowing the foundation to finance the « Cap sur la famille » project, which helps children ages 6 to 12 with family members affected by addictions. Since 2010, this project has been making headways in Drummondville and Trois-Rivières. The project will be implemented in Shawinigan and would help to reduce the impact of addictions for local families.
Over 200 participants took part on this philanthropic day, not to mention the families who came for the Desjardins Family Edition. The Foundation would like to thank everyone who contributed to make this activity a success.
The Foundation would also like to acknowledge the exceptional involvement of its primary partners, Desjardins Centre-de-la-Mauricie, Boomerang Paint (a subsidiary of Société Laurentide) alongwith the Uniprix pharmacy Pellerin et Bureau of Shawinigan.
