Shawinigan, October 14, 2020 – Quebec manufacturer Société Laurentide unveils today, as part of its commitment to innovation, its new line of paint dedicated to consumers. “Inspired by a European approach, we now offer a new technology that will revolutionize the paint industry by replacing the traditional four-base system with a single base called Infinite Base“, proudly states Mr. André Buisson, President and CEO of Société Laurentide. This technological breakthrough will be available for pre-order as of January 2021.
One base: unlimited colours
Innovation is Société Laurentide’s leitmotif and this new line of Laurentide Paint is proof of that. It offers retailers an exclusive and greatly simplified process where a single paint base can deliver all colours without compromising quality.
Simple, easy and more efficient. Significant inventory reduction, in space and dollars, dye optimization, and colour production quality are just some of the advantages of our new and revolutionary technology. The line will be available to consumers, painters and contractors under the Laurentide PaintTMand the YÙ PaintTM brands in the spring of 2021.

- Laurentide Paint is a division of Quebec manufacturer Société Laurentide, masters in paints since 1950. It manufactures, among others, products specially designed for the coatings used by manufacturing industries, such as in doors, windows and exterior finishes. This division also produces the Laurentide architectural paint, the YÙ PaintTM, and the BoomerangTM 100% eco-friendly paint.
- Laurentide Re/sources ensures the logistics management and the proper handling of post-consumer paint surpluses throughout Quebec and the eastern provinces of Canada. This division also collects and sorts batteries, compact fluorescent light bulbs, used oils and other hazardous household waste to redirect them to processing centres for environmentally friendly disposal.
